    • Have family members ever mentioned that they have a hard time understanding your child?

    • Do you often find yourself needing to interpret what your child is saying for family members or unfamiliar listeners?

    • Has anyone ever recommended speech therapy? Your child’s doctor, teacher, or a family member?

    • Is your child talking? If so, how much? Are they gradually using more words or speaking more often over time?

    • Does your child respond to questions or follow directions?

    • Is your child hard to understand? Do others have difficulty understanding them as well?

    • Does your child repeat sounds or words frequently?

    • Does your child seem frustrated when trying to communicate?

If you're still not sure, the easiest next step is to call us for a phone consulation at 248-780-9030. One of our team members will talk with you about your concerns, answer your questions, and help you decide the next best steps.

  • Yes, we take many commercial insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network, Priority Health, Aetna, Cigna, and ChampVA. We also take Medicare for adults. If we do not take your insurance, we may be able to request a single case agreement to bill 'in network'. If you have HPA, please contact our office to discuss billing options.

  • We currently accept cash, checks, credit and debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. We keep an up to date credit card on file through your secure Simple Practice Portal.

  • This depends on the type of insurance that you have. Your insurance company must deem services medically necessary in order to 'cover' therapy. You must also meet your insurance deductible and many insurances have a co-pay once the deductible is met.

Please contact us for a free insurance check and we can let you know what costs to expect.

  • $85 per 30-minute treatment session. Evaluation cost depends on what we are evaluating.

  • We kindly request that all appointment cancellations be made at least 24 hours in advance. We understand that emergencies may arise. To cancel an appointment, please call, text, email, or leave a voicemail directly with your speech therapist. If you are unable to reach your therapist directly please call or text: 248-397-5177. If you choose not to reschedule a late cancellation/no-show appointment then you will be charged a $50 late cancellation/no-show fee. Excessive cancellations, no-shows, or frequent rescheduling requests may result in removal from our recurring schedule. We typically remove from our recurring schedule if there are 3 no-shows or late cancellations within 60 days or 4 missed visits within 60 days.

  • Yes. Most insurance plans require a physician referral before therapy services can begin. We prefer to have one on file prior to an evaluation.

  • Yes, we partner with MOtivate Children's Therapy Services to offer occupational therapy in our offices and at many of our collaborative partnerships across Southeast Michigan.

  • We work with all age groups, from toddlers to adults. However, most of our clients are children ranging from ages 2 to 18.

  • Yes, many children benefit from receiving both school-based and outpatient speech therapy. School services are helpful, but they can be limited in time and often focus mainly on academic needs. This is actually one of the reasons we started Simpli Speech outpatient services. Many of our therapists have a school-based background, but we wanted to provide more 1:1 support and help kids make stronger, faster progress.

If you feel your child needs extra help, we’d love to chat next potential steps.
